Slipping

Remember how I was "sneaking" up on 200 lbs.?  Well, the lights came on and I tripped the alarm.  Due to unforseen stuff I am back up to 208.2 as of 4-26-12

Guess what, If you eat/drink a lot of crap and do not excersise for 9 days you WILL gain weight!

Hopefully that does not come as a suprise to anyone, except most of America.

So what is this fat American doing about this?

1. Food log - I hate food logs, but I have been keeping one this week.  I do ok durng the day and not so well at night.  Portion control is my biggest weakness.

2. Excercise regulary - Doing ok with this, just need to keep it up and not stop.  Week 4 of INSANITY! and riding.

3. Set a goal - I signed up for my fist bike race.  The Leonardtown Crit on June 3rd. (38 days away).  I WILL be under 200 lbs by then! 1.51 lbs. per week very doable

Be seeing you

Back in the saddle

Well, did my first ride since my 50 miler back on Easter Sunday.  Why, you may ask was I such a slug for 10 days?

This is why:

I launched, and sucessfully recovered my 58 pound rocket named: Mayonnaise Volcano Warrior!  it was for my Level 3 certification.  I can now fly any sized rocket I want.  Time to spend some REAL money.
Due to rocket preps and clean up (cleaning solid rocket fuel residue is HARD) I needed to take that time off.  But I am back.

Biking schedule:

April 29th. - First Sunday ride with Pax Velo.
May 1st. - First Tuesday race with Pax Velo
June 3rd - Leonardtown Criterium - First race this century!

Plan on lots of riding this summer.

Sneaking up on 200

Quick update.  The last time I weighed myself, I was at 202.  Assuming the beers I had last night don't screw me, I am thinking < 200 Wednesday.

Did my first longish (30 mile) ride of the season Saturday.  Felt good, but my legs were COOKED the next day.  Took Sunday off as recovery and today (Monday) off because I am lazy and needed to work on my rocket project for the launch in 2 weeks.  More on that later.

Here is my ride from Saturday, nasty headwind going north which meant bitchin' tailwind coming back.  I love cranking on a level road and seeing 27 mph on the Garmin!

Still on night shift,  it is strange how normal getting up at 1:00 p.m. has become
